Happy Holidays!

Here is to a happy holiday season to all my followers!  I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and friends!  I spent the holiday up in Hampton, NH.  In the summer time many flock to the sugar sand shores of the New Hampshire seacoast.  It had been a while since I had been up there and I had never been down to the beach looking for photos, but decided to check it out and was presented with a lot of good scenes!

We actually made it down there relatively late in the morning in the world of pictures 8:30AM, not exactly the golden hours for good photos IMO.  On this morning however the clouds hung tough and actually I was presented with what you look for when you chase these seascapes, some nice sun rays that were beaming through the puffy clouds!

Hurricane Sandy

 Sandy #1

Sandy #2

Harvest Moon

Hurricane Sandy blasted the region late this weekend into the start of the work week.  The storm formed in the Bahamas and began to make its move toward the United States.  Several of the weather models picked up on the idea of a MAJOR storm affecting the Northeast part of the country over a week out!  More often than not models tend to tickle the feet of weather weenies with a big fantasy storm that only slips off the model to be replaced by a frontal passage!  This time however the models seemed like the were converging on the idea of something truly special and possibly Historic in Nature!

A strong blocking weather pattern out over the North Atlantic was going to make this tropical cyclone do something many had not do turn back and move right toward the coast!  The storm ended up making landfall in SNJ where utter devastation from high winds and Major coastal flooding took place!  The storms impacts were felt up and down the coast, and in parts of West Virginia on the cold side of the storm the snow was measured in feet!!

We were very and I mean very lucky here in SNE we made it out easy so to say!  If that storm had tracked in across Long Island well that would have done to SNE what you saw unfold in NY and NJ.  It should be an interesting winter especially if we continue to see blocking set up!

Fall!

Summer has come to a close and we now turn the corner and head towards fall!  Hopefully this years foliage season is an improvement over last years.  The cool late afternoons and evenings have made for some great sunsets the past few weeks!

August Full Moon Looming!

It has been brought to my attention that the moon will rise at the end of the month in the area of the Scituate Lighthouse!  So I have already set aside that evening and hopefully will be able to get a shot that never gets old.  Things have started to settle down and I had a chance to get down to to harbor this weekend.  Despite the Saturday showers things cleared up and an awesome sunset took place!  Also I included one of Minot Light from a few weeks ago.

Dog Days of Summer

It has been a hot summer for sure even when they say the humidity is lower it still feels just as warm and nasty out IMO.  I'm certainly ready to turn the corner and head toward fall and winter!  I took this photo this week which is a true sign of the summer season here in Scituate!

Heritage Days Final Word

Well the big event that I have worked hard to get ready for the past several months has come and gone! Heritage Days 2012 is in the books and it was a great event.  I had wonderful time meeting and talking with many different people, and got tons of positive feedback on all of my work and again I say thank you!  If you are visiting the site for the first time welcome, the blogger site will hopefully be replaced by a better website where folks are able to make purchases online with galleries to look through.  I hope to have this in the works soon and ready to go this fall.

The previous 3 post from today are the full line of photos that I had to offer this weekend.  Many of you stated that you may want to look and make an order down the road.  If you see something that you like just send me an email stewie9279@gmail.com with the photo number and size or make up you would like.  Once I get the photo made up if you are local I could deliver it or arrange a meeting for the exchange.

Calendars were a big hit!  Again if you see 12 photos that you might like in a calendar just let me know the #'s of the photos and I can get that ordered with a start date of your pleasure!

Just as a kind reminder please take note of the copyright statement on the site.  These photos posted today for reference have an embedded watermark.

Again I would like to thank you all for taking the time to look through my photos and for all the kind compliments!  Now that this is over I can start getting back out for my photos.

One final word if you ordered a product today I will begin to work on them this week and will make contact with you in the next week to 10 days about delivery.
